As a longtime and passionate beauty consumer, Juliette Levy was frustrated to see a strong disconnect between her expectations as a woman and the beauty products at selective cosmetics stores in France. Convinced that there was room for an alternative, in 2013 she decided to create Oh My Cream, a network of cosmetics stores offering only “clean” brands, to introduce women to what is best for their skin. After several rounds of funding, Oh My Cream now has a network of 18 stores and also an e-shop. In parallel, Juliette Levy launched her own range, Oh My Cream Skincare, and hopes to develop a new concept, the “Maisons Oh My Cream”, which are lively spaces dedicated to a more holistic approach to beauty, and also to go international
“It took boldness to talk about transparency at a time when the term ‘clean beauty’ did not yet exist, to feature brick-and-mortar stores (where there was so much to reinvent!) while digital was king.” - Juliette Levy
“It hasn’t always been easy to raise funds to finance our ambitions, not least because our business was neither in the tech field, nor a 100% digital startup, nor in one of those ultra-trendy niches sought after by investment funds.” - Juliette Levy
